ASSOCIATION OF COMPOSITES MANUFACTURERS

  • Association of Composites Manufacturers (ACM) was constituted as a trade organization in the year 1999.
  • There are close to 40 members of ACM at present – manufacturers of GRP, producer and distributors of raw materials and R&D organisations.
  • Primary aim of Association is the data gathering concerning reinforced plastics, supervision of special entrepreneurial activities of ACM members in accordance with obligatory regulations and laws, organisation of educational activities for professional growth and re-qualification, solving of problems concerning environment and ecology and passing the appropriate information to ACM members, support the promotion and enlarge the information on entrepreneurial activities of members.
  • Important aim of ACM is to support the members by solving the problems connected with attendance to EU.
  • Association issues quarterly Bulletin ACM, that informs the members on ACM board activity, news from legislative field, coming exhibitions and conferences, publishes expertise, standards, information from special journals etc. Members of ACM are welcomed to publish their advertisement in Bulletin free of charge.
  • ACM is an associated member of GPRMC from the year 2000 and regular member of EuCIA (European Composite Industry Association) from 2004. The chairman of ACM is a member of EuCIA board.
  • ACM is a member of Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic (ECCR) as well as an every member of ACM, which obtain a special card giving certain advantages concerning ECCR activities.
  • ACM is a member of technical standardisation commissions TNK52 “Plastics” and TNK131 “Pipeline systems from plastics”, which deal with technical harmonisation of standards concerning plastics and composites. Association discourses and advises the ways of acceptance of international (ISO and EU standards) into national system.
  • Association is a co-organizer of annual seminars “ Fibrous composites” together with Czech Technical University, Prague which are focussed to information on new materials and technologies for GRP manufacturing, new regulations or their changes in the fields of occupation health and safety and environmental protection harmonised with EU regulations. ACM members have the advantage in reduced participation fee.
  • Association is a co-organizer of annual seminars “ Fibrous composites” together with Czech Technical University, Prague which are focussed to information on new materials and technologies for GRP manufacturing, new regulations or their changes in the fields of occupation health and safety and environmental protection harmonised with EU regulations. ACM members have the advantage in reduced participation fee.
